If I could, I would go to a prom, a wedding, a fancy gathering everyday just so I could wear an ornate dress. I observe the world around me and canŐt help but believe that if every female was in an 80Ős frou-frou dress, life would be just that more lovely. Stories of my life, whether joyous, cheerless, or trite, would be further fascinating if the figures in my work were adorned in vintage costume and accessory. The narratives relived in the work are seen as my quest to exaggerate a mood through color, texture and these sumptuous, fun dresses. The subject matter is autobiographical. It all has to do with hope, memory, sensuality and involvements.
